Senior Metallurgist - Ref: Q 835A

You will be working in Athens as part of the Project Management Team, for a gas production facility located in Libya. The major equipment packages include turbine driven compression, motor-driven compression, propane, refrigeration, condensate stabilization and glycol dehydration; together with associated pressure vessels, pumps, piping, valves and instrumentation.

The project management team is responsible for representing the interest of the owner, and ensuring successful completion of the project. The PMT is currently located at the offices of the primary contractor in Athens, Greece. The project has recently entered the Detailed Design and Engineering Phase.

They are seeking a well experienced, highly qualified, experienced metallurgist - whose primary responsibility, will be to advise the PMT on issues such as material selection, corrosion mitigation, welding procedures and ensuring the designers and fabricators are complying with proper specifications and procedures.

 The majority of the equipment will be supplied by the vendors located in North America the united kingdom or western European countries. The metallurgist will be required to travel periodically to the vendor locations. The expected duration of the assignment is 12 - 18 months.

 Location: Athens, Greece, 40 hour workweek + overtime + living and travel allowance.
