Pipeline Integrity Specialist - Ref: Q856

Contract - Libya - Tripoli - 52/23 rotation

To take overall responsibility with the P & TS Corrosion Section for the design, implementation and operation of a detailed Pipeline Integrity Maintenance System for the Oil Company’s main Oil, Gas, Condensate and Water Transmission Pipelines.

Responsibilities will include:

Establish conditions of the pipelines and design, implement and operate a PIMS for the pipelines;

Prepare tender documents for On-Line inspection, Fitness for Service and Risk Analysis evaluations, and evaluate Technical & Commercial proposals;

Project Management of On-Line inspection, including preparation of CAPEX and OPEX budgets;

Interpret and evaluate On-Line Inspection reports, and approval of NDT inspection;

Calculate Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) for each pipeline; Specify and design of repairs and other remedial measures;

Prepare reports for Senior Management.

Education:

BSc or MSc Degree in Engineering, and preferably professional membership of NACE and/or MICorr or other internationally recognized societies. *

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years diverse experience in the Oil & Gas engineering works, including a minimum of 8 years field experience in different phases of operations and maintenance.

Also a good working knowledge of On-Line Inspection Procedures, NDT inspection and corrosion control techniques, as well as a detailed understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, NACE, BS/ISO standards; IMIS, RBI, pipeline operations and appropriate remedial measures.

Terms: Tripoli based with Single room accommodation with ensuite and Satellite Television, 52/23 work rotation, working 6 days per week at 8 hours per day. Salary paid from Company’s Cyprus account. Flights and BUPA type medical insurance also provided.
