Contract - New Malden - Surrey - UK

Project description: 

(a)      (a) An EPC Contract now placed for the design, procurement, construction and installation of gas recovery modules on an existing operating platform.

 (b) Design and procurement of sealines associated with the above EPC Contract and also a construction and instruction contract for the sealines.

 Scope of Client’s Contract is to perform Project Management functions on behalf of the Client in respect of the work description in (a) and (b) above.

Responsibilities: 

- To review EPC Contractors performance and review Contractors deliverables in the management of EPC Contractor’s work;

- Guide and advise the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer in all issues concerning EPC Contractor design efforts

·    - Ensure Contractor Engineering fully meets Client specific requirements and approve or comment accordingly.

·    - Monitor, review, check and approve Contractor’s Technical output

·    - Check for compliance with contractual requirements

·   - Check documentation required for operations is included.

·    - Monitor, review and approve Contractor’s Bidders Lists for procurement and technical evaluations of offers received, finally approving Project’s Technical Requisitions.

·    - Receive, review and respond to Contractor issued Technical Queries.

·    - To ensure the contractors piping & layout designs in terms of technical and engineering specifications, data sheets and drawings fully integrates with all other disciplines.

·    - Ensure that the plant / piping engineering design meets all project overall technical requirements and advise the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer on all matters related to those issues.

·    - Provide progress reports and adequate notice of required changes to the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer.

·    - Ensure EPC contractor maintains adherence to project procedures

·    - Liaise with the Client’s engineering personnel responsible for plant / piping engineering facilities.

·     -Attend regular Design Review meetings

·    - Compile and update “Piping Material Specifications”, i.e., addendums to Client’s specifications, etc.

·    - Oversee and check “Bulk Material Take-off”

·    - Check and comment on all EPC Contractor Piping and Layout drawings, piping isometrics, hydrotest isometrics, piping support designs and documentation

·    - Review & approve Contractor approach & designs for offshore hook-up spools.

·    - Review Contractor approach to piping stress analysis, examine/comment/approve piping stress isometrics, assumptions and stress analysis piping model and analysis report.

·    The Senior Piping Engineer is responsible to the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer.
