Resident Site Manager

Responsibility: Initially participate in FEED, development of construction strategy and procedures, constructability reviews, logistics, planning, and sub contractor selection. Then follow project to site, or alternatively remain in HO, undertaking regular visits.

Experience: Managing multi-disciplinary teams / contractors on the overall site activities; full familiarity with contract requirements, and ensure company policy and procedures on the project are implemented.

Almost certainly with a background in petrochemical or refinery (preferably) or oil and gas, in a major EPC contractor organisation, and proven ability to take responsibility for projects in demanding and often remote locations.

Qualifications: Also, likely possess an HNC minimum, or recognised equivalent - or commensurate direct experience.

Senior Development Geologist

Libya - open-ended contract - 4/4 rotation

For a major Oil Company offering the following long term (contract) job opportunity.

Responsibility: The job is twofold, covering the Operations and the Reservoir Geology.

Operations, which has the higher priority includes:

- Contribution in data quality control logs and cores if requested.

- Participation in new locations proposals (within the field team) based on models.

- Take care of the redaction of the geological part in drilling prognoses (can be done by junior geologist), including propose and justify data acquisition.

Reservoir Geology, which is organized in Field Teams.

- Participate to the life of the team; the senior is in charge of one (or more) field and/or activity (like sedimentology or petrophysics).

- Suggests and propose, evaluate and insert the new geological results in the static model.

- Contribute to the understanding of the static model and to the dynamics of the fluid flows.

Experience requirements:

- 10-15 years work experience on several oil fields, probably in different Companies and environments.

- Experience of rig site geology.  

- Some experience in a multi-cultural human and technical environment and skills to adapt to such situations

- Ability to coach others, together with good communication skills to effectively function in multi-cultural environment and multi-disciplinary teams.

Academic requirements:

- Master degree in Geology; minimum 4 years University.   

- Advanced education in petroleum geology is a plus (IFP, ISE,…

- A good or at least some knowledge in all the subjects of sedimentology, structural geology, petrophysics, geological modeling, production mechanisms, EOR …

- Ideally some experience of Eclipse and history matching or at least must know the principles and the mechanisms of dynamic modeling.

- Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word at the minimum, log interpretation softwares (Geoframe, IP ...), reservoir modeling softwares, Petrel and/or Irap.

- Good spoken and written English.

Senior Safety Engineer

Responsibility: For a major, independent international service contractor to oil, gas and other process industries

Manage HSE related input to design projects including but not limited to Sizing Loss Control Engineering plant/equipment (eg fire fighting, fire & gas detection),  risk assessment studies which includes HAZIDs.

Process hazard reviews, hazard consequence modelling (eg plume studies, blast, fire), process hazard analyses via HAZOPS, CHAZOPS, Human Task Analysis to HMIs, Safety Integrity Level determinations, and management of changes as related to HSE against original and updated BOD

Also as designated focal point on certain jobs and as such should be prepared to plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program.

Experience: Risk Assessment arrangement , participation & chairing (if required) , ALARP demonstrations, QRA coordination; AFP/PFP development, Hazardous area classification;

Ability to perform updates for operational safety case and support/defend them to client and regulatory bodies ; Same ability required for  combined operations safety case etc.

Ability to manage technical meetings, liaise/feedback with other disciplines, project management, client and regulatory authorities, provide advice on various technical HSE engineering subjects. Able to manage and develop junior reporting personnel.

Qualifications: Oil & Gas Offshore experience will be highly desirable with onshore experience a bonus.
Degree level qualification in an engineering/safety subject.
Bachelor in Engineering, MSc in Safety Engineering ( or related subject) considered a bonus.

Instrument Technician

Great Yarmouth/offshore - 6 months initially - 2/2 rotation

Responsibility: For the inspection of all instruments systems, PPM in general, repair and calibration of instrumentation.  Required to conduct tests of equipment and assist Plant Operator to ensure safe and efficient instrument operation.

 ·      Repairs, calibrates and maintains platform instrumentation systems

·      Review/maintains accurate and current records of meter co-efficient

·      Conducts special tests on platform instrumentation as required

·      Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform instrumentation is conducted in accordance with Company requirements and statutory Government standards.

·      Ensures the required supply of spare parts are available, prepares and requisitions items required.

·      Maintains and updates records and reports

·      Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop and work sites

·      Check out work covered by commissioning/acceptance documentation to ensure systems are as outlined/operational and signs documentation to this effect
