Project Services Manager

Our Client, an independent E&P company operating onshore and offshore oil and gas fields worldwide, requires a Project Services Manager with a proven track record in the E & P business. Based in their Austrian HO, responsibilities covering all E & P projects worldwide include: 

  • Providing project services support; Developing and implementing project service’s to industry best practice:

  • Ensuring compliance of development projects to Company’s standards:

  • Independent monitoring, advice and support on scheduling and cost control: Participate in Peer Reviews:

  •  Support project pre-qualification activities and tender award evaluation and negotiations as necessary:

  •  Maintain a project portfolio data base and investment tracking system.

 Preferred candidates will have a University degree or equivalent:

  • 10 years minimum experience in the oil and gas industry or related industry:

  • Proven experience as a Project Services Manager on medium sized project, either in an Operator or Contractor organisation: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, self starter and with strong initiative to follow things through.

  • Fluency in English is essential: German a benefit.

Join a leading international project management, engineering and construction organisation with global construction capabilities. Working closely with Projects and Corporate Management regarding project performance against plans:

  •  Coordinate and lead planning engineers, cost engineers and document controllers and be accountable for all project control functions through the EPC project phases. Communicate at Senior Management levels and with major client representatives.

  •  Preferred candidates must have track record of Project Control management on major $ multi-billion international projects, with substantial experience in planning, progress measurement, cost control, change management and document control on all project phases from FEED through to construction completion.

  •  With experience gained in the refinery, petrochemicals or oil and gas industries. Extensive petrochemical (ideally chemicals) experience is essential.

  •  Initially UK Head Office based - following projects through into the field in locations in any one of 5 major geographical regions, worldwide.

  • Applicants must be UK/EU nationals, or hold UK residency.

  • A unique opportunity to join an international EPC Company operating in the Upstream and Downstream oil and gas sectors. They are financially very robust and likely to undertake mergers and acquisitions in the future.

  • Reporting to Corporate Management, the job requires a strong EPC background and the ability to work on own initiative, in providing cost/ estimate analysis for new field developments and proposed company acquisitions; working closely with Senior Management in Head Office and with existing Affiliates.

  • The Company based in Paris, conducts all business activities in English. Knowledge of French would be useful but not essential.

  • The Client will offer an attractive salary, together with substantial annual bonus, and subject to the special additional leave system, and holiday entitlements substantially greater to the standard in the UK, together with a Local Living Allowance. There will also be relocation assistance to move to Paris, where applicable.
